Fifth graders are studying the novel, Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt.
Students created tableaus, or frozen scenes, of important moments in the novel thus far. Can you identify the moments from the novel? Our Annual Differentiated Education Plan Meeting is being held this upcoming Wednesday, October 21st.
The meeting will be from 9:30 - 10:00. Please drop by to learn about the curriculum we use, to meet me, and other parents. The meeting will be held in my trailer, #170, across from the trailer bathrooms. If you have questions, please contact me. I hope to see you there! Our crops are growing! Recently, we spent some time tending our vegetable garden. The rainy weather has been good to our plants! Here are some things we accomplished: We thinned the carrots, radishes, beets and lettuce. We weeded the beds. We investigated the volunteer pumpkin and tomato plants. We harvested cherry tomatoes. Wondering what's going on in this scene?
You'll have to read the book to find out! Our 5th graders created tableau's, or silent frozen images, of a chosen scene from our novel, Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt. See if you can uncover the scene that is represented in each of the scenes below! P.S. It was picture day, so our students were out of uniform! |
